betsy cooper, President

Retired Biologist

Betsy is a marine scientist whose career has focused on environmental policy. She worked for the City of New York and King County in watershed protection, environmental review and wastewater treatment. She has been active with local environmental groups and serving on Kingston planning advisory committees and on the Kingston Citizens Adviosry Council. Betsy has been a resident of Kingston since 1996.


Michele laboda, Vice President

Community Services Specialist for North Kitsap Fire & Rescue 

Michele's long-standing support of the Village Green and other key organizations springs from the idea that a community is strengthened when its members can form connection through multi-use spaces like the Village Green. Working with local pre-school and elementary students through NKF&R's prevention programs for over twenty years, Michele has strong ties with educators as well as with children and their families. She has worked in Kingston since 1994 and lived here since 1999.


gale kirsopp, treasurer

President / CEO, 4700Group

As the CEO of 4700Group, Gale Kirsopp is passionate about leveraging Clio and Quickbooks to help law firms gain a competitive edge by boosting their productivity and improving back office workflow.  Because of her extensive experience working at the intersection of law and accounting, Gale has spoken to numerous national and regional organizations over the past nine years. Her insights enable lawyers and accountants to better understand the capabilities of their software and the possibility of using accounting systems to make their practice more profitable. She conducts Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training for lawyers and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) training for CPA / EA and accountants.








 Alan is retired from being a remodeling contractor, lives just a couple of blocks from the Village Green Community Center, is involved with various volunteer activities including helping mow the grass and staffing the severe weather shelter.  Most importantly he keeps the dog poop bag dispensers stocked in the park.  He and his wife have lived in Kingston 33 years.  He led the effort to equip the new community center building with solar electric power.





RSVP Program Director for Kitsap County

Andrea serves as the Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) program director for Kitsap County.  As a former development director for non-profits and educational institutions, she is involved with community groups across Kitsap, promoting civic partnerships that support sustainable servces and capacity for growth.

Metropolitan Park District Commissioner   

Bobbie served as Foundation Board President from 2004-2008, then as Executive Director, 2008-2010, and is one of 5 commissioners of the Village Green Metropolitan Park District. Bobbie is a non-voting member who provides liaison to the MPD. Bobbie is a Certified Management Accountant who used to work in corporate financial management and has advanced degrees in adult education and workplace training. She first moved to Kingston in 1989.

Current President of Kiwanis of Greater Poulsbo, current Board member of Kingston Chamber of Commerce, current Secretary of Princeton Point HOA, and active member of Soroptimist International of Greater North Kitsap. Debi has been a local resident since 1993.




Retired, VP Plant Engineering, UPS

Dave is Past President of the Greater Kingston Kiwanis as well as Vice-President of the Kingston Chamber Stakeholder's Committee and Vice-President of the Chamber's Events Committee. He serves on the Kitsap County Department of Community Development's Advisory Committee. In 2009 Dave oversaw the conversion of the military housing site to our Village Green Park utilizing over 80 volunteers. From 2010 - 2017, he oversaw the site development, infrastructure construction, building design and construction of our new Village Green Community Center. Dave has been a Kingston resident since 2000.


Tomi Whalen

Branch Librarian, Kitsap Regional Library    

Currently Branch Manager for the Little Boston branch of Kitsap Regional Library, Tomi also oversaw the Kingston branch during the Village Green's planning and construction.  She brings experience in raising funds for the new library built at Little Boston as part of the Port Gamble S'Klallam House of Knowledge project. Tomi has lived in Kingston since childhood. 





Kingston Branch Manager, Kitsap Regional Library
